'00 Z28 Vs. Evo 8
Tonight Tom killed me in his "Electric Blue" Evo 8... Vids soon to come. I also raced a modded STi who beat me by one car length, and a '02 Mustang GT w/ a intake and exhaust which I beat from a stop and a 40mph roll. Great bunch of people to mess around on the road w/...

It was really fun Mike, you should come down more often, youd have a lot of fun, i know a bunch of us will be out there tonight. I was so mad at myself when i bogged off the line. to winter tires lol. Yea, it was a really good race, i thought we were going to be dead even. Sounds like a awesome race you guys had
Mikesomething you need to rethink your mods though...you could of got a used ls6 intake manifold for what you paid for that MAF...if you bought the MAF new that is. Flowmasters are really restrictive, if I was you i'd ditch it or get a qtp cutout. Also hypertech....eh....not so great. With the ls6 manifold..better catback and tune you should be able to walk'em up top...depending on how bad they beat you in your current form. Also port your TB

I think you'll like magnaflow...it kinda grows on you though. WOT sounds great and lower rpms have a good tone and isn't obnoxiously loud...seems to sound better the longer it's on too

Focus you're attention on getting the power to the pavement. Spohn torque arm, Koni shocks, bigger meats out back, etc. Then focus you're attention on the valvetrain. I'm running a stock LS1 with an SLP lid, K&N filter, FRA mod, and stall speed converter... and I absolutely raped a burnt orange SRT4 the other night on Route 9. Again, my LS1 is bone stock, and I barely had any traction. What good would be adding more and more, when I can't even get what I already "got" to hook?
Get the power that you already have to the ground. As for installing the cam, I'm a true DIY'er. We'd be more than happy to help you out anytime bro....
