I know I am not going to get everyone to listen on this but, just watch the cheap hammers and items as they will beak and become missle coming at you.

It is good advice but any tool can break and potentially hurt you know matter whose name is stamped on it.

bought a riveter and electric drill from them to do the window motor on the CETA,both performed perfect.the riveter (not the small hand held b.s. riveter) was $17.99 and the drill was $19.99.used the drill today with a paint stripping wheel (also from HF $2.99) to removed a plastic wal mart bag the had melted to the exhaust resonator on the monte carlo, once again performed perfectly.

I'll add since we are talking cheap tools..
I have a few things I got as gifts from the "Kobolt" line of tools..
Anyone who has their screwdriver sets should use caution if using to pry something..
I had a grip pull off of one of my larger screwdrivers and about punched myself in the face..
This then caused the shank to shoot past my head and go skipping across the shop..

Been using their 4 ton aluminum jack now for over a year and it works flawlessly. No leak down like my expensive Sears jack. And a year of hard use too. Many, many times up and down in that time frame. I've put on three sets of headers and exhaust, rotors, and changed tires many times. I've got radials and drag radials I switch out often.

If you're talking about kobolt.. I have a set of digital dial calipers from them that work excellent.. I had an older buddy of mine whom has a machine shop check them for caliberation (sp).. He said they were just as accurate as his high end needle guage sets.. I've used them here and there.. Seem to be a good set.
It's just the screw drivers that seem to be a little like off brand tools..

I have two air compressors from HF. My neighbor got a Husky air compressor from Home Deopt around the same time. Needless to say, his is now in a land fill somewhere and my HF's are still running strong.
On the other hand, some of their stuff is just junk.

I just bought ratcheting wrenches yesterday. What an amazing tool.
Also, got a light, aluminum jack, ratchets, sockets, etc. I've done my cam swap, tranny swap, shocks/springs, suspension parts all installed using harbor freight stuff.
