    1999 Black Firehawk. Roller or with engine

    Had it sold a couple weeks back while the car was driving normally, really nice guy flew in from AL to buy her, after about 20 mins of running around in it the 347 started a knocking noise. The motor will still start up & run, but I don't recommend doing that. I put about 2k miles on the motor since I owned it, no probs, held great oil pressure, never got hot, etc. I haven't torn it down to find the problem yet but eventually I may get to it. It may or may not be something simple. I don't want to tell you it's a small problem and later find out it's a major problem, and I don't want to say it's a major problem and find out it's a minor problem. Maybe it needs new rockers, or new springs, or new cam, but the noise sounds like a stuck lifter and may/may not need the ports bored on the block. My buddies 04 GTO was doing the same thing with the same noise and we tore it down to find a stuck lifter and a cam lobe flattened. In the meantime, I think I'm leaning toward pulling the motor and selling the car as a roller if there's any interest. However you buy it, keep in mind the trans will need a couple new synchros, passenger window motor needs fixed, hood needs repainted due to paint chips, and there's a small paint crack by driver side key hole (from a deer brushing against it). The rest of the car is in pretty good shape.

    $4700 Roller (no motor- but will include wiring harness, t56/clutch/rest of driveline, etc.)

    Only thing is you'd have to pick it up or have it shipped

    Performance mods:
    Forged 347 (8.7:1 compression) assembled by Panhandle Performance in TX from previous engine owner. Less than about 7k since it was done by those guys. Has mid size cam on 114 LSA, exhaust ported LS1 heads, precision dual springs, mahle pistons, scat rods, ported oil pump, hardened pushrods, bearings, gaskets, rollmaster timing chain, arp bolts, comp lifters, LS6 intake, MSD's, NGK's, hooker long tube headers, dumped at end of y pipe. Again, read first paragraph of this post regarding the motor issue.
