2001 WS6 vs. 2004 BMW 745...should I win?
A friend wants to race me from a roll on the highway with a 2004 BMW 745. I have a M6 2001 Trans Am WS6. No mods other than a K&N air filter, as far as I know the rest of my car is stock. Should I be able to beat him with decent driving skills? If I want to ensure an easy victory, what speed should I start the race from, and in what gear at what rpm? Thanks for your help, and I'll be sure to post the results after the race is done.

4.4L V8 on the BMW 745. That's how the coding works. 7(45) = 4.5ish.....7(60) = 6.0

My bet would be on the Ws6. I think the 745 are low 14 second cars.

I've heard mid 14's for them. Not to mention he is around 1000 lbs heavier (3,417lbs and 4,376lbs)...with around the same rated HP. Plus he has an auto which robs more horses. I'm thinking you have this one easy. You should race for pinks and get a good video of it...

Are both cars stock? If so, I'd bet money on the WS6! I don't think he'd be able to beat you unless he had a good amount of mods, but I don't know BMW specs that well.

Why do they always wanna start from a roll? Launching it from a stand still is where it's at man. You'd kill him that much easier from a roll. When you beat him start looking around for M3's and if you do alot to your car, M5's...

The only way you are gonna lose is if you get a shity launch.. but it would have to be a reeaaall shity launch because you would probably catch back up with him anyways. If you are definitely going from a roll you should be fine...
