    Corvette ZHZ ? WTF!

Ok so i was crusing down the NJ parkway, and up ahead i spot a newer yellow vette with a big black stripe on the roof and hood, upon further inspection i see a fender badge ZHZ. Now being from NJ where these cars dont exist i had no clue what this "ZHZ" was. So i said the hell with it i got his attention and we slowed to about 40mph, then left on a head knod, he hung with me for about 3-5 seconds till i built full boost then i just continued to pull lengths on him. I let off at about 110-120. I was happy to have a newer vette be my first kill since the blower install! So anyway once i get to where i was headed i immediately go to the web and try to figure out the ZHZ mystery......turns out it is a HERTZ rental!! WTF do i know i live in NJ!

lol ya i was just down in miami on south beach a couple weeks ago, and i must have seen like 30 of those... certainly doesnt do the vette any justice as far as styling is concerned. it would probably be a good time to beat the hell out of one for a week tho.... hertz must go through a lot of tires on those things. i know that i would be getting the insurance and burning a set off (or at least trying to, who knows how they actually run, being rentals).

That's pathetic. I've seen LS3s do much better than that stock.

I've seen LS3 Vettes run high 7s in the 1/8 mile, bone stock, with drag radials. The automatics can get it done pretty easy.

Actually just saw one today, they look ok. Im not a crazy fan of the stripes and the rims looked orite. Those style rims always look a bit small but otherwise i wouldnt mind renting one and just thrashing it, hehe.

That LS3 Vette should have walked the GTR pretty good, that guy can't drive for shit.

In that race its really traction that kills the vette, if it was on the highway it would be a much different story. The run flats and the way how the nitrous kicks in will cause the tires to lose traction very easily. The AWD is just consistant and very fast off the line.

To be fair, both the GTR and LS3 Corvette, have trap speeds that are pretty similar in the 1/4 mile. However, the 2 wheel drive has the advantage in the top end from a roll.

Yeah im not sure how you guys think the ls3 will smoke the GTR. The ls7 yes but the ls3 not really. It would be a close race though

In Texas down here, you can tell a Hertz rental because the license plate will be: xxxHTZ, or HTZxxx... (For the majority of their cars, there are some exceptions)

Pretty sure that most rental places that have cars like that, check the tire depth.
