raced a c6

on the way home from the shop(gettin my 4.10s put in) and i was trying the whole time to find someone to run then FINALLY i stumbled across a yellow c6.
it was loud so i know for sure it had exhaust but any other mods are unknown...

it was an older guy maybe 40 so i was thinkin prolly just another typical vette owner, but he was cool and ready to race..we raced from the middle of 2nd till the top of 4th because of traffic. i pulled maybe a car and a half on him. so i was satisfied and gave him a thumbs up and kept goin. thing sounded sweet

Good kill, im afraid to run into those. Ive seen many of the new vettes were i live, guess i need nitrous, hehe.

What gearing do the vette's come with? are you worried cause of the weight difference between your cars and corvettes? I'd think a ws6 with bolt ons and maybe a cam could hang with a stock ls2.....no?

those vettes are bad ass. i raced one my self. it was a c6 vette good looking one. this thing was nice black on black wheels the whole works. and this thing was cammed it was an auto. so we raced going on a roll @ 20-30 he beat me and i beat him as well. it was fun. didnt think that i would keep up. oh and im cammed as well with an m6 01 z28.

wait..you raced right after you got gears put in

seems you didnt heed the warning about breaking in your gears..dont be surprised if they get REAL loud..or worst.....you'll know

a bolt on f-body ...400 to the crank..better gearing and being lighter make it a fight

yea no one told me.. how long is the break in? and there not loud at all. had them since sat. when i raced it was from a 40 or 50 roll, and i had bout 50 miles on them.. and i could resist..

it was a c6

its recommended three 15-minute cruises, with a cool-down period in between, to set the gears and break them in. After that, it's driving as usual.

oh oh oh i forgot...

i got the 4.10s out of my friends car that had them in for a month. he decided to go back with stock because hes on the bottle now. so they were already broke in right?

OT can I ask what they charged you to swap out the rear end in your trans am?

the gears? they charged me 150 bucks and they were done pretty quick
