12's until the turbo you just overboosted blows your stock gaskets.....waaaaayy too expensive to mod them correctly...there isn't a cheap part on those bastards....but to each their own

over boosted? and the problem isn't the head gasket is the head studs... replace the stock head studs and they are find (6.0L).... and the years that really only had that major problem was 03-04... and there are some tunes out there now that are "stud safe" and well maybe somoe people might wanna stay away from the 6.4L espically if they are stock and can't drive

Yeah one of my buddies has a 1000+hp Dodge Diesel at full weight of around 7,500 lbs it still runs a 11.19 in the 1/4. Bad thing is you dont know what it is until its too late.....

His "little" turbo is a 78mm i think... His big one is off of a diesel generator is like 108mm or something. Last time I knew he was up above the 1200hp mark before the new big turbo.

I'll ask him at work what hes running today.

YES you all have nice diesel trucks that a lot of members wish they could afford. I know I would love to have one.

YES we know they are fast for trucks.

YES we know they are cheap to mod and get very big numbers.

YES we know that the 4wd gets you off the line very quickly.

YES we know you can tow and haul things.

But why come on here and challenge the ls1 community?

Reminds me a few months back i came to a stop light and this redneck pulls up next to me in a lifted light blue chevy truk said 454 on the side of it. Well as if i didnt see the big 454 on the side of the truck he tells me to roll down my window and says hey man i gots me a 454 and will whoop your pretty pony. LOL, i told him you seem to know your sh*t and as soon as the light turned green i was off and i just dont remember how many car lengths i got him by but when he goes by me i remember the look on his face, dumb founded. I never thought my car is a fast car and i dont go bragging about who's a** i can whip and i got a 5.7 350 which ill admitt doesnt sound to big, lol. There is always someone faster then you and yes sometimes even a Diesel.

My old truck running a Vette up in Denton a few years back.

No we didn't really race for pinks, I just flashed it up a little

I had by 3 or 4 cars out of the hole and he could catch up. If it was a 1/4 mile race he would have had me with no issue.

He lost to a Z06 on drag radials, and WRX with a "LOT" or turbo work and then me.
He was so pissed he went straight out the front gate.

Honestly trucks my truck, shure some will beat me on a race, but I will Own them hauling 80000lbs I got a 12.7 Two turbos, and I get 4MPG LOL
