get this, got a friend with a 02 mustang gt, automatic, 3200 stall, drag radials with prostars,full exhaust, throttle body and intake and a sct tune, AND 4.10s....

hes a weiner and will only race to 100 because after that
his car blows but he wont admit it.. he talks sssooooo much shit about his car, its runs good at the track, 8.2s in the 1/8th, but not as good on the street.. he wants to race me from 20 to 100 which is kinda gay cuz 20 is dead for me but he only wants to race what he wants to race..

he swares hes gonna smoke me because he beats other ls1s apparently

i think he bit off alittle more than he can chew

havent ran it yet... but it would be significantly better than an 8.1.. at least i think so, but were goin from a 20 so i wont have to fight much for traction

I would say if your putting 420 to the ground and a broader longer power curve you should have him pretty easy

Trust me he will race beyond 100 mph if it's that close of a race.
Otherwise he'll let off early because you smoked him.

yea... ive raced him before when he just had intake and exhaust and the sct tuner from 30 till 100 but i was on bald tires and it was like i was on ice but when i hit traction at like 60 i blew past him and pulled him like 3 or 4 till 110, comin from like a car and a half back... so now he has some new crap so he thinks hes gonna spank me but i have new tires that dont hardly spin from a 30.

well he is all set for the track... and im not, im on 18s and 19s and never been down the track in my car yet... and he not one to consider that or i would... hes just a "i beat you and thats all that matters" kinda punk.. so he wants to race from a low roll so im gonna murder him

I don't think you will have a problem. If it was me, I would would roll in 1st at 20mph. When it is go time, roll into the throttle just enough not to spin and you will be shifting into 2nd fast. Once in 2nd hit the throttle hard the back tires will let you know that are holding as tight as they can with alittle squelling. Before it is time to shift into 3rd you should have a good jump on him. This will give you time to make sure you hit 3rd and you can rub salt in his wound

yea thanks... it just sucks cuz he wont race over 95 or 100. if he did he would really get beat bad

You should start pulling on him in 2nd gear pretty easily and when you hit 3rd he'll be begging for mercy.

My car ran a 8.6 in the 1/8 mile and that was bone stock with spare tire in the back. I say race him in the 1/4 mile at the track and put him to shame

by speed shifting you mean power shifting right, or is there another way to shift. I have never really tried powershifting cause i am afraid for what might happened if i missed a gear or what not

oh i know im gonna win, i SMOKED him when i had bald street tires that wouldnt hold till about 65 no matter what.. he just got a few more little things so he thinks hes bad. what a LOSER. and yes i know how to power shift with the best of them.. last time we raced we did a 30 to 100 (his mods exhaust and intake and a tune) and i pulled 6 cars on him to 100 and i didnt get full traction till 60.. his car made 230 at the wheels before his headers and throttle body,i guess hes like that spark plug guy he thinks his mods are gonna give him 200rwhp

even then he would still lose on a good highway run because he would only make 10 more than me and hes auto
