    Angry A/C question

Just washed the car and it's 80 outside. So on the way home I turn on the AC cause I hate rolling down the windows when I wash the car. All the air comes out of the vent on the dash. It does come out cold but I can't make it come out of the ac vents. Doesn't matter where I set the dial it's always coming out of the top vent. I do believe that that is the default vent. So the question is where is the vacuum hose or wire that controls the air flow from vent to vent? It has been awhile since I have kicked on the AC.

Weird just on the way home from work I had ac on and all of the sudden it would only blow out of the defroster vents and foot vents.. I got mad and hit the dash and then all the vent started blowing again... (This was on my work truck 05 ford)

It's a small black plastic line that runs to the back of the manifold. It probably just popped off. Reconnect it - you'll have to feel around for it - and the HVAC should start working properly again.

Yeah it's a vacuum line, if it's connected behind the intake and still doesn't work follow it towards the passenger side.
