I'm assuming the C5 Z's you guys are talking about beating up on in your "modded" cars are stock right? I would think so, considering a C5 Z with a skilled driver should pull 12.40's at 115-117 right out of the box in the right elements.

the one i raced for sure had exhaust cuz it was loud. idk about anything else.
thats prolly the only thing he had because i pulled him a couple of cars pretty easy even tho he got a decent half car jump but i let off cuz of traffic

yea dont let ur punk ass friends let ou down bout your car vs his lol. he will get his stompin eventually. and yes if you can drive those times seem within your range... but highway and track are a diff story, you might can run close times with him at the track but on the highway i can almost promise you hes gonna pull you good ESPCIALLY with his tune and exhaust..

Do the vettes get u on the highway cause of aerodynamics?....I raced my neighbor about 12 timeslast year before that 13.08 run that blew out 3rd gear and he has a 2007 vette non Z06 with big ass corsa exhaust, he has a 6 spd and just the corsa and he never beat me, we raced to 150 mph even, it was always a his front to my rear bumper race...really close....if I ran 13.08 very first run in a car that I had had for 1 month and didnt do anything to it but drive it to the track after work and went 13.08 dont you think I coulda went in 12's?...if tranny didnt break?....its wierd to me, I have buddys that have WS6,SS,Z28 LS's that havnt ran what I did and they have full boltons, I mean everything even shit u dont need like intakes and T/B's till ur runnin 500hp?.....I pulled a 2.0 60ft on almost all 7 runs, I am a driver, I grew up on a 4spd 1979 Z28 that ran 13.60's my best 60 fts with that were 2.2's-2.4's....my T/A hooks and goes for some reason, I only hold it at 1500 at the line, then smooth engage clutch...I just got a spec clutch, I hate losing, and I got a $500 bet with my Z06 buddy its an 01 the one that runs 12.45's....I cant lose, I put my LT's on today(what a BITCH)...non catted y-pipe,spec clutch, and the $3000 built tranny I had done in STL....I have to run low 12's help me man im paranoid the clutch was slipping b4 is why I got a 2.0 60ft every time lol........im prolly gonna run 12.90's=======D

we dont have shit here either, 94% mustangs and soooooooo many diesel/ 90's model 350ci chevys driven by rednecks that think camaro's arent shit cuz they can beat their cuzins v6 3rd gen. its annoying as hell to hear them talk shit, but always fun to spank that ass.

only a few other SS's tho.. like 3 in all i think an maybe 2 WS6's...

Yea true bout 400 hp stock and better weight ratio also....but people kept tellin me I shouldnt have ran 13.08 with 110,000 miles with just plug wires,muffler and slp lid...they say that lid and filter on a 01-02 Ram Air is worth about 2 tenths in the quarter, thats quite a bit...and ive heard that some 01 and 02's were dynoed at up to 310RWHP stock, that would make them about 375hp-400hp...the vette in 07 ran 12.8 in motor trend....an 01 WS6 went 12.99...I honestly think in 01 and 02 things were very wierd....I have headers,built tranny,spec clutch,non catted y pipe now....today was 3rd day driving it and I had 130 miles on all the new stuff and raced my buddys 98 WS6, he has lid,ported T/B,Z06 intake,headers,no cats,y pipe and tune all same as me and he has a 75 shot he used and we went 2 times both at a 30 mph roll both of us in 2nd and both sticks....I gained half a car on him in every gear then we let off after 4th goin around 130 or 40...he runs 12.20's and he's about the 30th person that has told me that something else has to be done I dont know about like shaved heads and bigger valves or something......
