We're just trying to give you the heads up so you don't look like an idiot if you lose. Now since you racing the non-turbo version (I thought you were up against the GXP), then it might be a good race. The non-turbo ones can run low 15s if driven well. If your Camaro can run around that.... it should be a drivers race.

It's because your driving pretty much the worst combo possible. A 3.8 automatic. Slow and ugly as hell. That's why. Don't like heading about then don't come onto a public forum with a retarded ass race in the first place with two slow ass cars. I would take his car anyday over yours.

For a thread that everyone seems to think is boring and stupid, it sure has generated alot of attention, I have'nt been on for a few days, and to my suprise this thread is still going LoL, and IMO you guys sould be nicer to the guy with the v6 camaro, he can hang with us, I remember when I could'nt afford my v8 t/a and drove my v6 firebird around alot of "firebird" owners acted like dicks to me cause it was'nt an 8, it does'nt feel very good

It shouldn't be called a Camaro or Firebird if it has a 3.8L V6 in it? ...and why is that? If the past hasn't taught us anything from previous F-Body V6 engines then maybe hearing that the 3.8L V6 is capable of going down a track with times between 6 - 8 seconds would. But, yeah, thats nothing right? Now mind you, if you want a powerful everyday car then yes, by all means buy the LS1's since in the V6 your fuel economy would be dreadful, but for a strictly track car, that 3.8L isn't too bad of an option in my opinion, just depends on your cash flow. But it also depends on whether the person cares to go fast or not.
Stock for stock I think it would be close if the Solstice isn't turbo, though I've never seen a race between the two.

Gas mileage isnt even that great, i hang out at about 21. when i use to drive a lot of highway i got 23 or 24. even my 3.8 Buick only got 24, dunno. my main thing is insurance.
plus, like i said before, my grandad bought the Camaro and offered to trade me for the Buick, same motor, sexier car. eh, why not

Anyone know what a nonturbo Solstice runs in the 1/4?
The 3.8 Camaro/Firebird is a respectable car. 200 horsepower, and as fast as the '85 tuned-port V8 (305) Trans Am was in the 1/4 mile.
Got any mods? There's got to be ton of them out there for that motor, its one of GM's most common. I know the Montes have'm.
