    Zr1 17x11 on a 2001--2002 trans am

I am considering purchasing as set of the chrome ZR1 17x9.5 with 275/40/17 for the front & 17x11 with 315/35/17 tires on the rear from Bone Enterprises .
Lookin for anyone who has this exact combo on their 2001--2002 WS6 for their opinion on this set,.
Also would like to know if you were to lift the rear of the trans am from the underside of the rear end housing --does the sidewalls of the 315/35 tuck up inside the Rear quarter wheel opening without hitting the roll under lip of the panel?
I would like to see approx 1/2" gap for sure ??

In a week I'll be able to tell you...won't be getting my new rims (upgrading/replacing after an accident) till next Sunday.

It all depends on the tires? What brand tire?

I have 17X11 ZR-1's on my Camaro which has less clearance than a Firebird.

Any feedback on the 315\35\17's? Kinda curious at purchasing some Goodyear F1's and I'm wondering how the 315s worked out.

I think they will fit fine on an F-body but, feedback is always cool.

Well, the same setup fits on my Camaro so it definnitly fits on a Firebird. I have Vredestein tires.
Yes, if you jack up on one side of the car, the tires will hit on the inner wheelhouse and probably not the outer quarter lip.

These are horrible pics, but you get the point.

Those look nice. They fill up the wheel well so much better than the 275/40/17s.

Was hesitant to get anything bigger than the 275s until I was able to experience those so now, I'll be more confident at getting the 315/35/17s for the back and move the 275s up front.

    Thanks and they look good.

What springs and shocks do you have on the car now?

I've still got the stock ones. Thats why I want to get a bigger tire so I don't have to lower it.

Getting headers next spring to so, I need to keep the wheel well filled a bit more but, still retain the ground clearance.

I run 315s on the rear of my camaro on a 17x11" ZR1. I'm unsure of the offset though...the previous owner had them on there. No clearance issues as of yet. Looks good to boot.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the offset or the clearance. I'm sure they will work just fine. Wish I would had the balls to go that size when I got the rims but, didn't really know at the time and didn't read the forums much at that time.
