WU8 is the SS package.
B4C is the Law Enforcment package.
Z4c was teh 35thLE package. (in 2002)

These are just some examples.
+1 I'm with this guy

You may want to run your VIN thru the VIN decoder at the top of the forum for all the straight skinny on your car.

Glad to see another B4C in here. . .

What were the performance tweaks that made it stronger than a Z28?

The B4C cars car had a different suspension setup. There is also an oil cooler and a few other heavy-up items like positraction, etc. Although I can't prove it, I also think the computer has a slightly different map in it. There is also a different rear end ratio than in a Z28 (3.23 in mine with an automatic trans).

You should really check out the stickey at the top of the forum concerning the "GM Vehicle Inquiry System." If you supply that guy with your VIN, and if you are nice. . . I think he can give you chapter and verse concerning the options and specs on your specific car.

So pretty much nothing in a performance boost. I say this because every, single police package I have ever known about is really set up for hard use, not performance. Police and Taxi packages are usually the same thing. Increased cooling, higher-amp alternator, slightly improved suspension, extreme duty hoses, and such. Very rarely have I known of a police package that truly offers a substantial performance increase when the engine is also offered in their regular line. Actually, it's usually the opposite since in duty form the car is several hundred pounds heavier.

Of course when the car is stripped down for resale, that evens things out a bit. I just thought the police-package Camaros were in the same league.

Then add the 200 pounds or so of equipment, and any tweak mentioned is negated. I know a NCSHP trooper who told me he topped out in his Camaro at 164 mph, during a chase. It had a 155mph speedo too, but he probably could have verified that speed by putting the radar (K55) on stationary and reading the speed (old trick).

Not knocking the package, but once again when the same engine is available in the standard line, the police package cars are normally not going to perform any better, they are just going to hold up to rougher use longer.

Lights, siren, radios, computers, radar, VASCAR, shotgun mounts, rifle mounts, and other emergency equipment in the trunk. 200 pounds is probably conservative.
