We need more info, is this your daily driver, are you wanting to maintain good driveability, what exactly are your goals for the car?

i just did the XR269HR with a set of HS 1.8 rockers,ls6 springs,ls2 oil pump,ls2 timing chain,36lb fast injectors,headers,ls6 intake,all poly mounts,umi lca,panhard,torquearm,tq relocation bracket,and the progressive springs from slp.
i love the cam, great lite choppy idle and screams from 1/4 throttle on to 6300 rpm. i tuned it with my preadator have 2.73 rear and a 2100 stall. and i will put it up against any cammed car with similar mods, this is a great mild cam that you dont have to change out springs every 30000 miles. i am going to the dyno soon, and would like to get to the track this year before the snow flies,i will post the numbers if i get it done. |

I just bought the Texas Speed Torquer v.2 Camshaft 112* to go with ported LS6 heads/intake, ported TB ... YouTube cams you look at to hear and "see" what kind of outcome you may expect. That's how I picked mine.

good job getting the heads, that is the last item i need for my motor.
i am going to do the heads next year. would have been nice to do it all at 1 time but i can wait, the heads i want are about $1500,more than i spent for everything else but for 50 ponies they make the motor. |

your mods your future mods your transmission your stall (if applicable) your rear end gearing your motor your use of the car (track only, street only, mix) the type of cam you want. peaky, torque monster, strip, daily driver, all out hp ...... answer these and we will be able help you out... personally ...a custom grind is the only way to go. and imho comp cams is the way to go...that is what i will be using solely for my car's valve train etc..as much as possible. |
