Okay I know you have alot more to do than worry about this topic. Orion thanks for the replies!!!! I do think some people will be put off by it. But you can not please everyone.

Not sure what the answer should be but there is an exception already with staff maybe you could start an exception evaluation thread in the 'super secret mod forum' to let members like TAP (for example) be given vet status?

Modulistic is one of the most respected members on this website and a spamming BS Sh1talker like burn would become staff before a member like him?

Has mod status become so exclusive that some cannot even be considered based on a personal problem/conflict/opinion?

If so that is a policy that should be amended imo.

Most was lost forever including every install guide c/w pictures I ever wrote.

Hence my comment about those dayz being gone as I would have had no problems getting a sticky back for all that work of writing them (not to mention taking pictures during) for the F-body community back in the day.

Let me start off by saying that Burns would never be a moderator, EVER. That was a point of emphasis though. The part I highlighted above, I do not agree with. I read his posts and how he conducts himself towards other people. Being a moderator means being able to manage situations and keep peace. Thats not a trait I have ever seen displayed by Modulistic, he thrives on debates and often his discussions get out of hand. I don't see moderator traits displayed by him and thats my opinion. Its not meant to be offensive nor did I take offense from your comments. People all have different skills and strengths/weaknesses. It is what it is.

The problem i have with it is, by the way post counts are now, if anything the post count is even more emphasized. By post count, Toityme is more of a vet then i am. and no offense to her, but well look at my join date and the fact that i had almost 17k posts. I have no problem with losing some of or a lot of my posts and yes the overwhelming majority of them were AAG, but for that to be a direct indicator and therefore keeping me from being a "vet" is kind of ridiculous. Hell, Tap is considered a noob.

All the real newbs have to do now is post tons of bullshit in the areas that credit is given for posts. Now they are vets without actually putting the time in. yeah my posts are in aag but im a vet, i've been in here long enough for MOST people to like me and realize im not just some troll trying to give everybody a hard time. I've made a ton of friends on here and get along with all the mods, i really dont consider myself a newb. But its whatever, i try to help as best i can with my general automotive knowledge in tech posts as a lot of the questions being asked sometimes arent really ls1 questions so much as just "how the fuck do i fix a damn car" questions. OH well.
