He blew his motor last week in the school parking lot, ill take some pictures of his car and stuff later, but he was in the parking lot showing off, as usual, and idk what happened but he revved way up, and heard a huge pop, then started to leak stuff hahahahaha
Its cause if that damn supercharger lol
Ummm WHAT?! A stock auto 3800-II goes high 14'- low 15's loaded.. High to mid 13's stock being stripped and gutted.. N/A stock roller.. I've been door to door with GT's (starting to edge it out) in my Stock Y87 auto, and exhaust, stock lid paper filter.. Slap on an eton 90 on that 3800 and it will slam the doors on a stock-bolton gt..
It will be close... You will leave him @ the light/line but he will catch you and pull you to about 1/2 a car or so before you start gaining.. 3800 makes better use of it's low end torque (yeah we have that! lol) than the 4.6.. I'd Launch @ 2000 because you're/ our engines make all that torque by like 2500.. Gears will play a factor too.. If you're a 5spd, shift no lift and you'll surprise him.. Maybe even yourself  Shift @ ~ 5100-5200 and you can make use of the limiter between gears..
youtube/streetfire vs camaro/firebird vs mustang gt....lol funny stuff
and i have seen it first hand on weekend street races. GT cant talk smack to anyone in the lot so he calls out poor little old stock v6 with dumped exaust.
camaro won by a few cars and sounded like crap doing it!
Yup.. It's that 2 valve drone they have that makes them sound like crap.. They sound better with the exhaust split right and left banks.... There are many stock GT's running around my area.. The questions are almost always, " is that a v8??" The look is priceless when you say, "nah 3800"..:firedevil:
GM's v6's sure sound mean at idle..just the higher they rev the worse they sound lol...although i had an 05 monte carlo supercharged SS that sounded great...maybe it was the fact of the S/C drowning out everything else...it was a baest. 14.5 best i could get outta her. then i blew something running too much boost on stock motor against an altima with nitrous.
That's why I love the 4v 6ers (GM only).. They sound like music @ higher rpms.. I like me my 3800's tho but they are dynosaurs compared to 4 valvers from even 20 years ago.. Early SC 3.8's turned out less HP than the little 207ci LQ1 did N/A.. I still say the v6 Camaro's would have been better with the LQ1 than the 3800.. Kinda funny that the 2010 v6 Camaro has a 60* v6 dohc now and the 90* 3800 ohv was scrapped..:usa:
yeah it always bugged me that the series III only made 240 W/ S/C and 200 W/O S/C :cuss:
:werd: 300+ N/A out of a DI 3.6l dohc v6.. No need for an SC from day one..:yup: Later maybe adding a spool or 2, they would be screamers.. 60* like spools more than SC's.. But SC's have been done on them too.. Most of the SC's around are modded stock units and don't like the over 7k an average 60* v6 is capable of (pre 96) all day.. Lot of them fall on their face where the sweet spot would be in N/A form.. = castrated power ban...
My guess is that you will be behind by pretty far, even with the GT drivers most likely horrible driving skills. The New Edge GT's are capable of way low 14 second times bone stock. Compared to your low-mid 15 second car, at best (if I'm incorrect about the 3.8 Firebird 1/4 times, please, feel free to enlighten me, I'm just speaking off of memory right now).
You are way, way down on torque compared to him as well.
yeah OP, i'd stick to picking on v6 mustangs and the like, made many a memory winning v6 drag races out in the boonies with my POS 3.8 bird with a broken tranny mount and two weak motor mounts,
"ready, GO!" "THUD. bwaaaa!..THUD. bwaaaaaaa..THUD.bwaaaaaaaaaaa"
