What is the most you can mill? Can you mill down to 57cc?
With +3 cc pistons, 64cc heads, and a .040 head gasket it comes to 12.75 to 1. With 57cc heads that would bring the compression to 14.08 to 1.

You can mill as much as you want. The only thing you'll have to watch out for is the Piston To Valve (PTV) clearance. Call a LSx Engine Builder and talk to them about what you want and if they have any experience with your setup. They may know off the top of their heads if you're going to slam your valves into your piston or not. If they don't know, you'll have to experiment and test it yourself before start up.
Got my autotrix passenger window fix kit in today. Next up is to remove the pass panel, fix the cracks, dynamat the door, install the autotrix kit, line the panel with red, and re-install. Also, install all new switches while I am at it. Next up, driver's door...
Let me know how that works out(the autotrix part).....I finally did my DS motor a few months back...UMM if i knew it was that easy and cheap i would have done it a long long time ago BUT as luck goes NOW my pass side went from slow to stop n go like the dr side...SO any members chime in if you will........I may just r/r the pass side w/o the autotrix because it wasnt working that bad before but i know many believe the its better to do the autotrix cause it may save the motor from premature failure??? I know the motor is bad cause its doing the same as the ds was but im not sure if i wanna do the autotrix with the motor or just do the motor for now?????
I will get it in in the next day or two. I don't have problems per se with the pass side. I do notice that the driver's doesn't want to go the last couple of inches when I roll em both up at the same side, though. Hopefully this will fix that. I really look at it as saving the motor(s). I thought about putting in the express up down on the pass side, but not really worth it for 140 IMO. By the way, the Dynamat makes the stereo system really pound. I will get the doors done soon and then maybe I will notice a reduction in road noise. I may have to what I can on the hatch to to get the noise down. I also think I am going to put the stock tranny rubber back in. That will prob help the road noise issue quite a bit.
Quite a productive day. Removed door panels. Dyanmatted doors. Adjusted felt guides. Installed passenger side autotrix kit. Removed staples and did door crack mod. Re-lined the insert panels with red marine vinyl. Reinstalled door panels. Replaced switches. Put the led's in the door panels where the courtesy lights go. I have courtesy lights again! Also installed black mirrors. I picked up a pair of silver door lock slide lever things and put those in as well. My headrests should be here by the middle of next week. I have to pull the plastic and pleather from the new and old driver's seats and change them. Got my hog rings and pliers Friday, so just need the time to do it. Soon..
Set the car on fire. Not on purpose mind you, but it still happened. It occurred when I was doing the PS cooling mod while replacing the pump. Full details at Power Steering Cooler Mod | 2000 Trans Am Blog

Nice work, Edgar.
I really would like to get a new set of rims for my t/a but I can't decide on what would look good on my car. Edgar, what size wheels are they? That rear lip looks really good!
Replaced the brake pads.
About to order my first part of my internals for my 395 build. There is one thing that I am unsure about though. K1 has 3 different rods (lightweight, stroker, standard weight) I am curious to know if the stroker rod is required for a stroker? If so why doesn't tsp sell it with their 395 k1 kit? If it isn't required then what is the point of buying them since summit appears to be the only one who sells them and quite a bit higher than anyone else who sells k1 components.
This happened earlier.
