It's a street car mainly. I haven't had the car to the track since the build was done last year.

I have to agree this kid is a retard if he (actually blew his engine up the second week) so you should walk him if you drive right....but..... Stock Mach's are matched very close to stock F-Bodies and its a drivers race between them 99.9% of the time
"Blew it up" to a kid in school - especially after the story gets around - could mean anything from a thrown rod to a dead battery.
Would be a good race. All things being equal (they rarely are), the LS1 would have a bit of an advantage.
Take him down! Like everyone's already stated, it sounds like he isn't very experienced. If you know your car and how to drive it, I think you'll take him. If you aren't that experienced, get some practice in first - launching and shifting. Then shut his 'rustang down!
I hate kids like that, i have two 97' GT's think they can walk me if they can put it in 4th. i laugh at them all the time. Well good luck and try to get it on video.
With equal drivers that is a close race but the Z should have the edge especially top end. My friends cobra with the same engine as the Mach turned a BEST of 13.89 @103 with shorty headers (which are wothless). The Z should trap at least 106.
BASICALLY a drivers race, ive beat 2 and lost to one all stock as is my car
:snowboard:i whip the piss outta stangs on the regular, yo!
Like Blkcloud said above, the engines are similar, but the Mach 1 engine is not the same as the previous generation N/A Cobra. The compression on the Mach 1 is higher, the heads and cams are exactly the same as the 03/04 Cobra, the intake and exhaust have been modified for better performance. And since you quoted a timeslip, when my Mach 1 was dealership stock, it turned a 13.19 @105, just for the record.
take him out and update us ;)
