1995 Camaro vs. 2006 Eclipse 2.4L l4?
I'm mostly a Car Audio buff, but I've always drove hrm... "Slower" cars. I know my 1995 Camaro isn't a speed demon, but I know my specs, and I know the specs of the Eclipse, I think I have a fair chance, and from what I can tell it will depend on how well I do off the line (4WD vs. RWD). I bought it with custom duel exhaust, but without headers or advanced intake I'll rate mine at stock Horsepower Here are the specs:
1995 Camaro
3.4L V6
160 HP @ 4,600 rpm
200 ft-lbs, 271 NM @ 3,600 rpm
3342 lbs, curb weight
2006 Eclipse
2.4L l4
162 HP @ 6,000 rpm
162 ft-lbs, 220 NM @ 4,000 rpm
3274 lbs, curb weight (giving curb weight because I couldn't find base weight. :(
Expected outcome?
I would love to hear everyone's opinion, especially Toneloc's. I would also like to know the best advice for take off's in my car and racing in general? I know that my car achieves maximum torque @ 3,600 rpms, and best Horsepower @ 4,600 so the most efficient off the line would be around 4,200 rpms, and then "dump the clutch" (new term I just learned from reading these forums.) :) Which I assume to mean release it completely? :D Thanks for tolerating the n00bness and answering the questions.
