Holy crap - that PA video was funny as hell.
I was crying from watching the old lady in the PA video!!!!! Sooooo funny! and true!
storms passed through last night and this morning...got to drive through a mess this morning on the way to work "in my truck".
BUT the good news is that the all clear has been sounded for the car show tomorrow...looks like its going to be a long night of polishing the TA like a diamond. I'll post pics of the show when I get them edited and uploaded. Should be Sunday or Monday.
Been cleaning and detailing all four of the fender wells today.
Having said that.... do you guys call then fender wells, wheel wells, wheel openings or what!!??
Whatever they are they are lovely and clean! I was toying with painting the calipers beforehand
but a wire wheel in a battery drill and some brake cleaner and patience and they are really nice
and bright and clean so i will forget the paint i reckon. I have some pics i will put up tomorrow
of the before and after.....
But.... whilst cleaning i saw that the calipers were made in AUSTRALIA?!! what......???????
Never knew that and why, i wonder?????????????
:)
Same here - "wheel wells".
Another "wheel wells" from me.
Wheel wells I think is the fav for most of us.
Wheel wells it is then!
I had this problem when i restored a '64 Buick a number of years ago also.
I needed back glass molding... i started out looking for rear window trim.
I needed wheel opening molding and began with wheel arch trim and the soft trim
that goes down the door B pillar... who would have thought that would be Windlace?!
led me a merry dance that one!!
Tell you what... there is a guy who works at Summit and his name is also Trev and better
still he comes from Leeds so is a fellow Brit and we can talk without keep saying "excuse me"
or "what was that". I ALWAYS ask for him!!!
It does help to know the lingo. The nuances can be rather entertaining at times.
Sending some stuff to emblempros to see what kind of designs I can get to cover up these corvette flags on my new c5 dd wheels.
Thinking about painting the vents in my fenders silver to break up the side of the car a little since I shaved the moldings off a few weeks ago.
Has anybody done it yet...? Pictures wouldn't hurt...
The Kee Audio level 2 speakers showed up late Friday. Really nice stuff can't wait to start the install
No pics but I've had billet inserts from HPA in my fender vents and WS6 nostril grilles for years. The billet aluminum is sort of like your silver look and I like mine. HPA has been out of business for years but you should be able to find pics of the stainless covers from emblempros that will look similar to the silver paint.
To see pics of the ones I have search for: hpa ws6 grilles
I've painted mine. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the whole car with painted side vents.

I put red led lights in both the nostrils and side vents on my TA. It's just enough to illuminate them at nite, but not so bright to get pulled over by to police. You can see them in my avitar.
ordered a new set of drag radials 315/35/17 toyo Tq's for weekend cruising.
Just had a new project delivered. Picked up a complete LQ4 from a local guy. And when he said complete I was thinking a longblock with maybe an intake. This thing looked like the hulk ripped it from a truck, still has the harness and PCM hanging off it. Time to start tearing it down and parting the other stuff out and prep the block.
