we i did an oil and trans fluid change on the ss last night and i started messing with some of the rear suspension pieces and noticed that all 4 bushings on the LCA's are shot and the TA mount bushing at the trans is weak too NTM that the pan hard bar bushing is on its way out as well.
my question is that is there a whole kit that i could buy from a vendor? im not rich so im looking for something thats reasonably priced but still has good quality
I got the poly kit from ws6store. It was like 160ish for the whole car. You can prob just get the back end for about half the price. If you do just the back, you won't need an alignment. But, if the back is bad, i'm sure the front is too. Then, you will need an alignment. And get some better grease than the vaseline that comes with the kit. IF you need any help, PM me. And, contrary to what some will say, poly does make a small difference in handling. Even on stock parts.
Are you still running the stock suspension pieces?
I'm sure he is if he is visually noticing failure.

Assuming they are stock, I would certainly consider aftermarket suspension pieces and not just bushings at this juncture. Replacing bushings can be a pain as it is very easy to collapse the arms. I have a special set of oak blocks that I utilize when changing out bushings on our restoration projects.
yeah all stock suspension pieces under the rear and front except the eibach springs and bilstein struts and shocks
If you are lowered then adjustable pieces from UMI are a great idea as they will allow you to keep the tire centered in the wheelwell and the axle centered under the car. If you are at stock ride height, like me, then non-adjustable units will work just fine.

All he said is that he wasn't rich... I don't think that the LCA's and panhard bar are really that expensive. Not arguing, just pointing out the fact that now is a good time to upgrade.
Well i got paid today so i have about 500 to spend. LCA's are a must and i need to see if i can find that damn TA bushing too what do u think i should get Jeff?
I went with all UMI on our car and am very happy. I would stick with the standard greasable poly bushings. They have a new fangled "roto-joint" out that is pretty slick but I felt it was overkill.
yeah this is my daily driver so i dont need it to be extreme
just out of curiousity what is your best time in the TA?
I have UMI's on-car adjustable panhard bar. It's a very nice piece. The rest of my suspension is all BMR though. Both very respectable companies that make very high quality components.

Should get there for sure i couldnt break a 12.4 in my car because it wouldnt launch or when it would it just spun hard but i took it to the track last week and got her into the 11's with slicks and still a horrible 60' but i wish i would have gone the route that you are. im thinking that the slicks are one of the reasons my bushings are shot now.
thanks Jon do you know if either of the companies offer a rear suspension kit? ive searched and have only found panhard and LCA kits but none with the TA or relocations

i would love to buy those camino but thats out of my price range man. anyways i ordered a set of poly bushings for everything since i had a few unexpected things come up that got rid of my budget so i will just stick with these for now until i get my account built back up

well after much deliberation i orderd the adjustable UMI LCA's and non adjustable Panhard bar and should be here sometime next week
