Rocker arm adjustment
Ok. It appears I have a weak lifter in my 2002 WS6 Trans Am. My question is, before I go through the trouble of tearing down the engine to replace the lifters, is it possible to adjust the rocker arm on the noisy lifter? The lifter is noisy when cold, but the noise disappears when the engine comes up to fill operating temperature. Just want confirmation that this would be safe to do, as the engine warns up I don't want excessive preload on the lifter.
Thanks,
Shawn

Rocker arm adjustment
no, rockers are non adjustable.

sure it's a lifter and not piston slap? LS motors are famous for piston slap. 2 pretty distinct sounds though. Lifters will be more of a tap and piston slap is deeper and louder.
