December COTM explanation...

homerunhtr21 has been disqualified from the competition and banned. The reason is there were multiple accounts created on his computer and all voted for him in the contest. His side of the story is that he rooms with 5 other guys and had them all sign up and vote for him. Although I don't feel that's right either that's not the reason he was banned. He was banned for creating the accounts. Both issues have been dealt with. I'm making all votes public now and will check IP's of all voters and Ed has set it up so that new registrants can't vote in polls.
I don't wanna convict the guy in case his story is legit but my thoughts are it doesn't look good and wasn't a smart thing to do in the contest. It's something that I devote my time to and want to make it as honest and legit as possible. I knew there would be problems along the way and things to deal with. This is just a setback and learning experience.
I apologize to everyone that enters the contest and especially the guys for this month.

There will be a 3 day vote to determine the COTM for December because I didn't feel it was right to the finalists to let it end that way.

well, the deal Ed put in place not allowing new people to vote on polls should help quite a bit with that. We're not gonna be able to catch everything but that should help quite a bit. I'll also be checking IP's of people that vote in case someone has an old troll account that hasn't been busted yet. :D

So I guess I wont bring up the old Chicago saying "Vote Early and Vote Often"
