Yes. You need it up in the air. The cradle can be dropped and slid out of the way if everything is disconnected. In a nutshell that would be the front wheels, lower ball joints, lower strut mounts, steering coupler, P/S hoses, motor mounts, any wire harness connectors (such as ABS), and the four...

:D Made it home around 10:30 last night. We left for Detroit a bit early in case of traffic or other issues. For us, "other issues" turned out to be driving rains and an accident on I-96 that re-routed us. My brother uses Waze as the navigator on his phone and I was impressed with how it...

You still need to be able to drill out the rivets, so the pan has to come completely out. Dropping the cradle is not all that difficult. Not sure how much the engine can be raised...

We had planned on coming out later this year and probably will make the trip again around October. Went to General Jim's in Clare yesterday before heading to the funeral home. In the morning we went to a friend of our parents garage to check out his M151A2 and M38 Jeeps. He has a de-mil'd .50...

Flew out to Michigan yesterday for a funeral. So much easier than driving. Ride up from Detroit wasn't bad at all.

My friend runs a Detroit Locker in his '70 Dart. He drives the shit out of the car with monster tires on the back and has had zero issues. In a parking lot, or on slow turns, you can here it clicking. Obviously not the most streetable choice but it does seem to work.

There should be a decal under the hood with the oil and refrigerant fill capacities. I just looked at an AC system website and it appears that 9 ounces is the total capacity. You are probably safe with around a 3 ounce fill on the compressor.

Somewhere there is probably a chart that tells you how much oil to add for each component in the system when it is replaced. We just swapped the compressor in my dad's Honda Ridgeline and that called for 3 ounces. 9 ounces sounds like a lot... I may have the oil spec in my service manual, but am...

It would be tough for me to pass on the lower mile car... that being said, so long as the higher mile car has been maintained it would not scare me away if the WS.6 is what you want.

Been a busy ass week here. We went to the cruise in Thursday night with the Camaro and had a good time. That was the only outing of the week that I would call "fun". I ordered up a pile of parts for the Jeep finally and will begin work in earnest next week. Going to adjust the valves, swap out...
