317 heads will lower your compression ratio and you'll lose bottom end torque. If you mill them to regain some CR and use thinner head gaskets you'll still be down on CR and you'll probably have to change pushrod length due to altered valvetrain angles.

OTOH, if you're going FI they will work fine. If not find some 243 heads.

IMHO, the General nailed it when it comes to exhaust gaskets. I've been doing headers with factory exhaust manifold gaskets for decades. Best bang for the buck. Only thing better are copper gaskets and they ain't cheap (or readily available).

I wasn't offended. I asked for no more off topic non-sense and you ignored it. We have a pretty liberal AAG section and there's no room in the tech areas for that stuff. 6 months from now if someone is having the same issue the last thing they want to do is read through all that trying to get help.
