Welcome! Easiest way to tell are the RPO codes on the edge of the driver door. Look for a code that reads "WS6".

As Jeff said, the most reliable way to tell is by the RPO code.

Another thing to look for is the power steering cooler, which all WS6 models have.

    Welcome!

Rpo, is the easiest. The cooler also is a good way to tell. Another thing to possibly look at, which might be difficult unless your pretty familiar with these cars is the WS6 will have a larger/lifted airbox. But that's not something too hard to replace.

Is there anywhere we can still get build sheets?

A couple of members have access to this information. There is a thread around here somewhere. You just PM your VIN and they will PM back the documents. At work now so I do not have time to search at the moment.

01-02 = LS6 intake, also the heads are stamped 241 I believe and it has the smaller 'truck' cam but all the engines are pretty close on power. Cant go wrong with an LS1 engine.

Welcome, lots of knowledge and these are a good group of guys.

with your question being answered prior to my post, yes the easiest way to find out is with the RPO code.

however, if the RPO code sticker is not there, you can run the VIN # to verify as well.
