Newbie owner of a 4th gen......
Well here's my story...... I have owned alot of 2nd and 3rd gen F-bodies, but had never really took an interest in the 4th gens until recently. OKay, actually the wife put out a challenge that I couldn't put my styling spin on a 4th gen. So I purchased a slightly wrecked 98 Camaro with the "Appearance Package" . The little V6 is suprising....... have found I actually like these as much as I like the 3rd gens...... to make a long story short.....I am now hooked. I am looking at selling the 98 eventually and finding V8 TA or possibly a Camaro to replace it.
I just jumped on here to learn from the people who know way more about these cars than I do.....

NBM- 99 z28
Welcome to the site!
You will definiatly want an LS1 powered F-body if you feel your 3.8 Camaro is suprisingly quick.
I have two '99 NBM Camaro's. One is a Z28 and the other is a 3.8. I had the 3.8 for about 6 or so months before I got my Z28 and it's like a night and day difference power-wise. Obviously, due to 2 more cylinders among other things. Just saying though, after owning and daily driving my Z28 for the past 3 years it's been a blast. I love these cars!
The first time I got back in my 3.8 after driving my Z, I was like my God, this thing is slow. Needless to say, the 3.8 just sits in the driveway.
It is kind of cool having two '99 NBM Camaro's sitting in my driveway, though.

I was thinking, would you consider just dropping a v8 in your current v6 camaro?

Just my oppinion. I have the 01 Camaro 3.8II. I love it but it gotta lose the 6-legged stuff. If you want since your Wife has put out the challenge. Tear your 98 down to bones and start building her the way you'd like it to be. I'm doing mine this summer. Well that is after my other mod car is done. But that's just my oppinion on what I think would be a fun project. Hell T/A's good too though. Any f-body in my book is worth making a project. I like customs myself. I say do whatever you're into, and have fun with it.
