Red w/ Black Stripes- 1994 Camaro & 2012 Camaro
Newb from Detroit area
Hey guys,
I'm from the Metro Detroit area - Macomb Twp for anyone that knows the area. I've got a 1994 Camaro 3.4L v6 that I'm swapping an LT1 into. I'm a post whore and have been soaking up a bunch of information about the v8s, so I figured why not come over here and see what I can learn about the LS1s.

Love the 2 tone paint, welcome to the site. Would you consider swapping in an ls1 instead of an lt1?

Everyone goes LS1. I thought it'd be more true to my car to go with the LT1 - I've always tried to go with what was not as popular. Since going LS1 is the popular choice for everyone lately, I have to do the opposite and go LT1.
No, in all honesty the LS1s were just too expensive and I had a hell of a deal on an LT1. Complete LT1, 4L60e, engine harness, driver's side door, passenger's side door, rear bumper, rear tail panel, all 4 salad shooter rims and tires, the entire interior harness, LT1 computer, complete rear hatch. All for $1000. I was able to sell my v6, the v6 4L60e, driver's door, rear bumper, rear taillight panel, and all 4 rims and tires for $800 - so I basically got a complete LT1, v8 4L60e, computer, harness for $200.

Well I can't argue considering the price you got for the swap, that was one hell of a deal, congratulations.
