    Maple Red Metallic
    2001 Trans Am

    New TA to the site

Hey guys my name is David. After 4 years of waiting and searching I finally got my own LS1 Trans am. I love every time I start this car up and drive off. The car has 53k on the clock which is awesome. I had to have a 6 speed tranny, too many people where I live drive automatics.

Former owner put pacesetter headers on the car with a x pipe and dynomax mufflers dumped before the axle. Sound great at idling and isn't too loud when your just driving normal but can really roar when you get on it. Car also has a slp lid on it.

Thanks to this site I knew to try and get a 2001/2002 cause they have the best motors and what to look out for when buying a f body like the weak rear end. The interior is really clean but has the stupid door panel cracks and I have to replace the driver side window motor.

When I saw the ad for the car I thought the color was pretty cool. I haven't seen many around town. I was wonder if anyone knew how many Maple Red Metallic regular Trans Am's were made in 2001? One last question is, does anyone know where you can get a solid white shift knob with nothing on it at all. Just white only. Thanks

If any other MRM TA's want to post some pics up I would like to see them.
Anyways here a some pictures of the car. Thanks guys

Welcome to the site! I also think that's an awesome color. I've only seen one Camaro so far that color locally here in So Cal.

Mines the same color, are they really that uncommon? Mines no WS6 but I have the black leather interior.

Either way, this color is what sold me, its awesome in any light.
