New SS LE Owner in Oklahoma
Good evening ladies and gentleman, my name is Colby. I live in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area and 2 days ago picked up a 2002 35th Anniversary Edition SS. 6-speed, t-tops, center mount exhaust, 3786 miles. The birth certificate has the SS build # on it, can anyone tell me how to find out what LE # the car is? The SVE VIN lookup does not give it.
If anyone in or near Tulsa wants to go to Tulsa Tuesday Cruise nights, Car Show, etc. Let me know! Here are a few pics.Last edited by OKSS; 02-02-2016 at 03:57 PM.

Welcome to the site, Colby. You should be able to get the LE# from SLP iirc

I messaged the SLP facebook page and actually got a fairly quick response. The person simply said SLP is under new management and does not have any of that information.

That's too bad. That is where I got my LE build # from many years ago. At any rate, welcome to the 35th LE club and congrats on what appears to be a very clean purchase. I have just over 25K miles on mine now.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Thank you.
I guess that next thing I could maybe do is take the VIN # to a Chevy Dealer, and ask for some info. Maybe call the original dealership it was shipped to.

Yeah when SLP got sold and relocated all the old files "dissapeared". From what I've seen and read is that the new owner just wanted the name and product and the networks that went along with it. They didn't care about the history and saving the old documents. But that came from a former employee who seemed slightly disgruntled over it so who knows how true it is.
