New from Mississippi
Hey!! Im new here from Mississippi!! I have a 2004 Pontiac GTO. Currently having some issues with it, which is why I came here..need some major help!! About a month ago my key kept getting stuck in the ignition when I would turn my car off. it would stick at the notch before it was completely off and I was having to disconnect my battery cables to get my key out every time. Come to find out its something in the shifter and its not fully recognizing that it is in park. I have my whole middle console ripped out and am having to unplug a part every time I go to turn my car off. Does anyone know what this is and about how much its going to run me!? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Hey bud,
I have family in the south Jackson area, travel there often.
I don't know what's going on with that issue, though, sorry. Doesn't sound like fun

Typical issue. There were some recalls I think for it but in the GTO section you should be able to find help.
Often times the key issue never comes out but it is found in all years. Also, some 04s have some issues with the speedometer/tach at times.
There is a fix to your key situation and believe me, its not a new thing.
Welcome!

Welcome aboard! TLS is right. I'll bet someone in the GTO section will know what's up and how to fix it. Post up in here:
