Bright Rally Red- 2001 Chevy Camaro Z28
New LS1 owner
Hey folks, just purchased my first LS1 car last week. It's a red '01 Z28 A4 with 84k miles and ttops. The car has a few mods already and is a blast to drive. I owned two Camaro's previously, a '94 and a '01 (both V6's).

G'day and welcome.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Either way go with some 3.73s

GU5. I think I'll stick with those for now.

Having said that, I know the car came with 3.23's from the factory, but I don't know for certain that one of the previous owners didn't change them out to something else.

Easy way to tell is to jack the car up from the rear (securely) and crawl under it and mark the drive-shaft with a piece of tape or something visible. Then, turn the rear wheel one full revolution while counting how many times the drive shaft turns.
If you turn the wheel one revolution and the drive shaft turns 3-1/4 times, you have a 3.23 gear. If it turns 4 times, you have a 4.10 gear. Etc.
You can also tell what gears you have by going at a determined speed, say 60MPH, and noting your RPM at said speed. Then use an online calculator to determine your ratio.

Thanks. I'm a little rusty on my F-body knowledge.
