    New bird - first LS1

Hey all - just picked up a CETA vert M6 after selling my 88 GTA T5. Earlier in life I traded a 94 Firehawk for a minivan - so this is my third bird but first LS1. SLP lid and Loudmouth so far. Planning some minor tasteful suspension mods and underside/wheel well cleanup as the winter project. Hope to meet some out at the east coast shows (Carlisle) next summer

Welcome! I head to Carlisle at least 3 times a year. We also have a gathering for site members that takes place in Green Lane, PA sometime in late summer.

Thanks - I'll keep an eye out for the PA show. I usually do several Carlisle shows, too. Relocating to NJ from LI cut an hour and half off the trip. Usually do spring, GM, Chrysler and Vettes.

Spring, GM, Fall and sometimes the Chrysler show. Been going now for about 15 years. Do you have a Corvette?

I pared my stable of vehicles when I moved to NJ last Feb - I kept my '88 GTA which I later sold in August to buy the CETA - and I kept a '68 Plymouth GTX. I sold a '55 Chevy 3100 Series II pickup and an LT4 '96 vette. My buddy bought the LT4 and is trying to sell it now (he bought an 02 vert). The vette show was crazy this year - I had never been to that one before. My DD is an '04 Mustang GT - so I'll try and do Ford this year.

Have a friend with a '68 GTX -- awesome car. Have never made it to the Vette show yet. My wife has a '74 that she has owned for about 25 years now.

I recommend Vette weekend - Only minor complaint was the spots were not assigned according to year. I would have liked to start in 1953 and walked the entire show through 2010. Great show - better than All-GM (no vettes) and slightly better than All-Chrysler.

The GTX is insane. 3-year nut & bolt resto on a numbers matching car. Cost so much and is so nice I'm scared to drive it. If I could get it in my house, I'd put it in the living room as a work of art. Now that I think about it, we are having a new front entrance done in the next few weeks...hmmm.

Same here -- when I finished the restoration on the Vette I was scared to drive it. Now it has a chip or three and all is good. Pics of the car here: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...highlight=1974 Got any of your GTX?

Most of us use photobucket. Here's how to open up an account.

    I know - photobucket.
"...for all the world to see" technology still scares me. I like to upload one photo when I need to and go hide.

BTW - my '94 Firehawk was Arctic white - such a great color.
Also - just spent a week in Santa Monica - walked all the way to the Venice pier and stood where Michael Douglas got shot at the end of "Falling Down". Very cool out there - thinking of retiring out that way when the time comes.

Arctic White is a great color

You can make your account private. And, it's never a good idea to upload pictures that you think are of a personal nature. I agree with that. But, I have no issues uploading pictures of my car for all to see

OK - I guess in this day and age Big Brother is my little brother. I'm sure there a lot worse things on the interweb than anything I could post.
