My First Trans Am
Just bought an '00 TA this weekend. Auto/43k mile car.
It's lowered but the previous owner doesn't know which springs were used. Also has a Ws6 hood but not sure if it's an OEM hood or not? Also seems to have a shift kit because it will bark the tires going into 2nd at WOT.
I don't know much about LS1's.. I've mainly had mustangs...
Plans include- Changing the oil and fuel filter first. Then doing plugs and wires and having the transmission fluid/filter changed. Then i'll move onto the rear end and have that fluid changed.
I'm going to knock out all the maintenance stuff first before I hang any aftermarket stuff.

It's been a productive first week with the bird....
-Mobil 1 oil change/AC Delco oil filter
-AC Delco fuel filter
-NGK TR55 plugs
-MSD wires
-Replaced the missing ash tray door
Today I'm going to install a Camaro auto shift knob. I dig the look over the t-handle in the 'bird.

So today I installed slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads I got from ws6store.com. Then I couldn't help myself.....so I ordered a Loud mouth II cat back and volant cai.
A little discouraged though- I heard grinding from the brakes when I brought the car home. I figured with 43k miles it was time. I have to say....all four corners looked real good. Nothing like taking good parts off and throwing them in the trash.....
I did take my time and clean/re-lube all the pins as well as cleaned lubed the clips in the calipers. I was also a little disappointed that the ws6store.com brake kit didn't include new brake caliper clips...
I've not yet driven the car to see if the new rotors and pads stopped the grinding. But I have a bad feeling it didn't.
