ls1 road racing suspension suggestions

i have a 98 ls1, currently have the qa1/hal 12 way adjustable set up.
i have had some incidents with the car and had to replace a shock a few times over the past 6-7 years. twice with hal/qa1 i received a shock that doesn't adjust, but only found out after i installed them. needles to say, even though i did not drive a single foot on the busted components, qa1 did not want to replace them and i had to purchase new ones. i now need two for the rear, and know that i can test them before i install them, but simply do not want to go with a company that does not stand behind their product. Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice set up that is not going to cost as much as my car?

Koni's are a far better shock esp. for road racing.
