Livin' the dream in an LSWha??
Well, if you're anything like the other forums I've been on, you want to see the car. Too bad. You'll have to wait.
I'm from central NC and just got introduced to my newest car, and my dream car. I drove my truck allllll the way to Florida, alone, to pick this one up. I'm finishing up my auto tech degree, but I'm gonna need a little more help on this one car. Alicia (dragonchick) is my sister (in the "not really, but she may as well be" sense...) and contributes to my addiction. I could go on all day...
Now on to the goods...
Drilled and slotted rotors are a good start...
T-top sunshades and headliner... CHECK!
Clean door panels... CHECK!
Nice pewter leather seats... CHECK!
But they're even better when they come on this.
SCORE!
With ooooooooone minor complication...
So that's me. Tips, advice, etc., are all welcome. Thanks for looking!!1983 T/A 305 4BBL...SOLD!

2001 Firebird 3800 V6 (Missy)

She is. I've got plans, but gotta sell the 6er to follow through on them. Still looking for an LS1 to drop in her. Already got the T56 on standby, and the hood & nose...if it ever stops snowing in Iowa, and I think I've got motor mounts waiting...possibly a driveshaft. Everything has to wait until I sell the '01. *sigh*

Looks like you got yourself a nice foundation. 6.0 like said would probably be the best bang for your buck.
congrats

YAH!!! My "sister" is here!!!! Oh, and Gary probably won't be able to use the driveshaft off of the '99, so that's one thing off of your list, just got to make sure it didn't get damaged in the wreck. Oh and of course the engine mounts, probably a few other items too

Well only help u can say is check Craigslist every few days and may find a motor. Were doing a LS1 swap in a91 240sx I painted. Took a while but we found a guy with a 02 z28 we got.the ls1, t56 , wire harness, and brain for $2000. This was even in the car so we could.start it and check everything out. Lots of ls1's motors around for $1000 or so depending on mileage just gotta find the deal or as mentioned a 6.0 build again Craigslist is great especially.if..you can find someone with the.motor.still in the car running.

Awesome intro and nice find. Congrats! Good luck, and if you haven't done so yet, start a thread on your build when the time comes.

Any owner worth their salt keeps build pics! The only problem is that I might not be the one doing the building because the car is two hours away from me atm. BUT, I will have whoever builds it take photos. I'm looking at putting down about 440hp at the wheels, so any advice to that end would be welcome.
I'm wanting to have a nice, sweet lope...not too loud (no LM exhaust!). Got ceramic-coated headers on standby, and possibly a Flowmaster exhaust just to keep her quiet. I'm also going sleekbeak...I want the sleeper effect.

I would suggest that you post any technical questions in the appropriate section in the forum.
Example: head and cam questions post in the "internal engine" section
You will get a lot better response and feedback from members this way. Most members do not troll the "new members" section here

Hey ThunderChicken !
You know what I want to learn. How do I put my pictures in my posts or threads and add a caption below as you have done? Your car looks awesome.
Thanks
Lucifer
