    Just swapped 5.3 to 6.0 lq9

Finally got the swap done now I'm searching for a used supercharger. It went way smoother than I thought I wish they all came with the 6.0

I sold my 09 duramax😢 and bought an 04 z71 Suburban, I have to have a 4x4 for work and I drive 50 to 60k a year. Got the burb with 140k 2 years ago. Now it has 260k, the 5.3 started chirping and was positive it was the lifter bearing, (confirmed when removed) I found a LQ9 from a 2003 escalade, salvage yard told me 115k for ($1075) so I drive 3 hours to save a thousand when I got there i asked to see the vehicle it came out of. I noticed the oil change sticker in window that said next change at 151k so the took off $300 basically no Core charge. I don't have time to swap myself so had a small garage door swap for $600😟 ( wish I could have done myself) my Suburban has flex fuel so had to use my injectors (different connection) and I swapped oil sending unit someone else said to. Everything else was plug and play.

Did you swap out the PCM as well (or have it tuned) for the 6.0?

That's the interesting part I read on another forum for this same swap the guy did not change it. However I do notice an increase in power but I am going to buy the PCM from the escalade the engine came out of see what kind of difference it is then send one of them off for a tune. Maybe Frost?

    That's where I would start.
