Howdy
Hey guys just wanted to say whats up. I have a DEAD 2000 SS unfortunitely some grandma totaled the crap out of it. But I got a $15k check from her which is more than what I payed for it and the mods. Thinking about getting a GTO but I have a few parts from my LS1 left over that i'd like to put into another Camaro. But will be selling my converter because i'm done with automatics I want a 5 speed. Dont flame me but I drive a mustang as a daily driver

I want to go newer but it's so hard to find a decently priced one. Worst comes to worst find one thats been beat on a bit for under 10k and fix her up for 5-6k (build motor, interior, tranny, rear end, suspnsion, etc) but dont want to do that i'm trying to stay away from modding things too much, stuff likes to break when you want to go fast.

welcome........
I drove the GTO the other day....here are my opinions
1. GTO was faster 0-60 but didnt smoke the tires any better than my a4 that was a surprise since the GTO is a m6
2. Top end from a 50 mph roll no way it beats my 01 ss
3. My SS sounded much better @ full thottle
4. GTO rode more smoother
5. SS looks better
6. SS monsoon system sounded better
7. GTO interior looked better, much more high tech.
Overall very nice sports car could have got it for 29,000 but since performance is close and the SS has t-tops think I will just stick with the
camaro
