i am new on here, so i have a ? and wonder f some1 could answer it 4 me.

i have a 1984 z28 tht i rebuilt the engine in cuz i wiped out the crank bearings and scared the crank, its a 5-speed and when i pulled the engine i found out tht the driveshaft was pretty messed up so instead of buyin a new 1 a friend of mine gave me an extra 1 he had out of an 86 rs (automatice) and i have been told tht it won't work with my transmission cuz the splines r different, so i need 2 know if i can use tht 1 or if i need 2 get 1 just 4 a 5-speed. any help would b greatly appreciated
