has anyone tried the hyperpac yet? any good?
Hello I'm new to LS1's this is my first sports car and would like to do some small changes to the car. Has anyone tried the Hyperpac by hypertech? what in your opinion are the best things a new guy can do to add speed to the car?

if the car is bone stock down to the air filter, than an air filter and air lid/cold air kit of some sort should be ur first mod. then exhaust of ur choice. intake and exhaust is a good base start for any bone stock ls1. then from there would depend on ur plans for the car(appearance, daily driver, street performance, or drag performance). but basic exhaust and intake free up a bit of power and give you a bit of gas mileage also. and i have no exp with hypertech products.
2000 white z28, t-tops, free mods, intake, full exhaust, dyno tune, repro c5 z06 wheels, and some elbow grease here and there.

one of the best things to do is help the car breath. CAI, LT's, and exhaust.

Welcome to the site!
When I purchased our Trans Am just over a year ago, I also picked up a Hypertech unit from the prior owner. I have utilized it to firm up shifts, adjust tire size, read and reset codes, and have also messed with the "performance" settings. Now, I simply use it as an accessory gauge system - the unit is mounted to the swing out cup holder so I can monitor and check things on the go.
Overall, I would recommend a mail order or dyno tune to get the most out of your car. The Hyperpac is a neat little unit, but there are other handhelds with more features. If you are serious about tuning, HP Tuners is the way to go for our cars. You can search the threads on here, but this is pretty much what you will find posted.
