Im in Spring Valley Ca. one of many suburbs of San Diego. I own and operate a Classic Hot Rod / 4x4 shop and find myself doing allot more LS1's as of late. I am in the process of doing some horse trading for 2 LS1's to use in some off road vehicles. Im here to learn and read. I look forward to picking your brains in the near future.

Not all of us. Some us love the classics! Myself included. There's nothing else like them.

Being brand new here, is there an archive that is available for us technically challenged folks. I’ve purchased packages in the past from Turnkey and installed the stuff, ran it to the turner for the final start and run. Unfortunately for me I now have to find out what I need to piece together for my next project. I really would rather read about the basics and ask the questions after I have some clue as to what I need. Are there any very basic posts that explains the different components and what they do? I know, how remedial!

Im planning on putting a donor LS1 into a 1974 full sized jeep. I will be picking up the engines next week and they are bare motors, No ECU or Harness. I also have a fresh turbo 350 that I would like to utilize for this project. Being its pre smog I need to find out if off road ECU and harnesses are available, and where to acquire them. So any help getting started would be a great help… I’ll read up and get back when I have a clue. Thanks for the welcome!
