Cam cost
how much is the average camshaft and to install everything? i was wondering becuz i would like to get it done

Most cams run around $350-400 new
Most cam packages(cam, springs, pushrods) will run around $600-700 range.
The labor to install it would vary from shop to shop.

someone told me it would be about 1200 bucks becuz with everything and labor becuz u have to drop the engine down and then do it. is that true? and they said labor is expensive.

I really don't know what it takes to do a cam swap on a GTO. Post your question up in the GTO forum and you will get an answer though.
