Is it worth it?

I have a 93 'bird with the LT1 and the 700R4/4L60 trans. I was thinking about getting a chip from Ed Wright, but I'm not sure if it's worth it in my particular situation. BTW, I have tried calling Ed with my questions, but this week he seems to be tied up with dyno tuning. Anyway, I don't plan on changing my thermostat since I live in Mich and need the heat to work as quickly as possible. Also, since I have the non-computer controlled 4L60 trans, there can be no shift point mods by the programming.

So, is a fast chip still worth it for $160?

I'd say put the money somewhere else, such as a cold air intake, headers or something. I didn't notice any differance with my hypertec3 other than it fixed my speedo for my gears
