What software is best to program stock ecm?

I was talking to my boss at turbotime (***non-sponsor link removed***) and we deal mostly with subarus ect. I can get stock ls1 ecms for cheap but I need the software to tune and program the ecm. Any suggestions?
ps I need a full remap and access to every comp modification due to the extreme engine build.

Also: This ecm will run as a standalone unit because there is a separate harness for the interior of the car.

for ls1 ecms I'd say Hptuners is the best out there...when you buy it it comes with credits to tune 4 ecms......plus if you use say all 02 F-body computers you can purchase an unlimited licence for that year/ model.

so you are going to run the GM ecm on a Subaru engine or ls1 engine in a Subaru?

these are excelent ecms, I just never gave the thought of using it for a standalone fuel/spark management.....i like the idea

Its going to be the ecm for my 5.3L thats going into an 82 z28. I work on subarus everyday for a living so im not familiar with the software for gm stuff...but i am familiar with forced induction so thats why im going with a twin turbo setup(gt3040r)s. Its not going to be stock fuel/spark either. so that leads me to:
Will this program give me the access to tune a motor that is fully redone?
