hello fellow fboby owners .i own a 99 z28 ls1 cammed 232 232 581 lift with oter bolt ons..the question is ..knowing that im untuned how much slower am i as if i did have the tune ..i know im running rich.therefore i do waste alot of gas.thanks in advance

Not sure till you have it tuned properly. Most likely you are leaving a lot of power out there that you could be using to smoke Mustangs. Just sayin....
I woudnt want a car to run that rich for very long, any idea how long it takes to wash out the rings on an LS1?

wait so by it running untuned rich .the rings will slowly go bad?

I thought you said you are running rich? Meaning the gas has to go somewhere........out the exhaust or in to the oil.

On the other end of that scale you could also be running dangerously lean @ key points in the curve for your setup..
Untuned can lead to premature engine fail..

With bolt ons, a tune is nice....but not required. You should have your car tuned with an aftermarket cam, otherwise you are robbing yourself of power and risking engine damage.
