    Tuning Question

I finally a speed shop around where I live. They charge $100 an hour for dyno tuning....is that a reasonable price? It sounds reasonable but I am not a big fan of paying by the hour on something like that. I couldnt see it taking more than 2 hours to tune with just headers, y, lid, and MAF. Also, can the tuners adjust the speedo? And I am assuming that the Hypertech would have to be returned to stock before or would the Tuner just over ride it?

They should be able too fix your speedo, and override your current tune, Are they charging you too tune the car or just dyno time? Shouldnt take less than an hour or so on the dyno.

They said 100 dollars for 3 pulls or 100 dollars an hour for dyno pulls and tuning with a supplied technician.

Usually the dyno time is seperate from the price of tuning. Example, the local guy here will tune for a couple hundred and then dyno time is $100 per hour with wideband.

A first time tune will usually run you between $300-500.
