Tune Question?

i got a 96 trans am lt1, with longtubes, ory pipe and deleted the air/egr, i know i am going to need a tune but whenever i get it all on it may be a couple of weekd before i can afford a tune, would it hurt to drive it without a tune or will it mess anything up?

I think it might just drive like crap, I know mine does. It's an LS1 though. I NEED a tune. You going with a Dyno tune or mail order? I still have not decided, $500 for Dyno tune is a lot of $$$, but I guess that's what u need to do to get it to run good.

well there is a guy here that will tune it for me , he can do everything and he only charges $50, same thing as a mail order tune

I lost a lot of low end HP when going to hedders mostly, and other exhaust work. $50 for a tune? Is that a shop or friend? I'd like that deal!

Let us know how it goes! Frost w/LSXtune is charging $175 for tune right now, I will probably go with that when I sell my PP3. Anyone use LSX mail order tune?

well he just hit me back up , he said he can doi 94-95 and 98-02...he cant do 96-97 which is what i have ..DAMNIT that sucks...so let me know if u are interested

ok that guy said that he has a April special going on on pcm tuning he can do 93-95 & 98-02 (but cannot do 96-97) which sucks for me,but u pick 2 things from the list to do, Adjust for new Gear Ratio, Change Speed Limiter, Cut Fans On Earlier, Code Deletion, or Raise RPM !! Any 2 of those for $50.... so let me know if u are interested and pm me

Yes, and he is a 'she'. I went there. I'd like to tell you what happend, but I'm trying to get refund. Nuf said. Her name is Shaw of 409motorsports. They use LS1edit.
