    Tune or not to Tune?

I have a 2000 T/A with deleted EGR and AIR. I have BBK LTH's, ORY, SLP LM2, Wide band O2 and SLP Lid. I had my car put on a dyno and had the SES's deleted from the PCM for the deleted systems. He was only able to adjust the timing and spark slightly. Said I put down 321.70 HP at the rear wheel. Is it worth it for me to sent my PCM to Frost for a Tune? I drive hundreds of miles a day sometimes and I don't want to lose the MPG's however, I would be willing to sacrifice some MPG for more HP!

why was he only able to adjust the spark tables? What does your wideband show when you go WOT through the gears?

My guess is he didn't know fully what he was doing and didn't have an HP tuner? WOT it reads in the 12's

In addition to compensating for your mods, Frost also works his magic in other areas that can benefit how your car runs and performs. Send it in.

I would be leary about any tune done by someone you don't think fully knew what he was doing. WOT your wideband should be reading in the 12.8-13.1 range. If it's much below that you could probably gain some from a tune. The other thing is your spark tables....if he really wasn't sure of himself your tables might not be correct either. All of that added up could make a pretty nice difference in HP. Without seeing it though and knowing exactly what you have tune wise that's a guess. I would say for the $150 frost charges I would probably have him look at it.....that way you know without a doubt you have a good tune.

Thanks Jeff, have to figure out my gauges and starter issue first. I believe I have it narrowed down to the (+) going into the fuse block where it says (IGN) under the Gauges Fuse. When my car hit the washer rack, it sits low enough that it hit the bottom of the car and nicked the (+) going to the fuse panel. I replaced the fuse, however when I connected the battery it blew it again... However, I didn't test the fuse... Therefore moving on to possible other causes never checked the fuse again. I'm a dumb ass!

Once we have it back on the road and has been road testiest to make sure I don't kill anymore fuses or ignition or anything else after my last catastrophe we'll send it in to Frost!
