timing???
anyone know what kind of timing you are runing na. aspirated. and what are you guys runing with the gas ????????? i am about to tune the car next week and am curios what everyone is running have cam and stuff and will put the gas on after a couple weeks trying to get into the 10,s to hang with buddy with procharger on 4.6l mustang he has damn 550 to the wheels, any info would be appreciated oh and i have stock internals!!!

Hi--I assume you are talkng about stock heads---This is really a wide open question as there is really no perfect timing for any engine--only suggestions of timing that worked for others---Tuning LS1's I generally try to put as much as I can in--When I start to get Knck retard--I back if off a bit.Also assuming you are using premium fuel.---On LS1 heads they average 25-29* before I usully get KR. On LS6 heads because of the small increase in Comp ratio and being more efficient ,they don't like as much--somewhere around 22-26*--You'll get several opinions on this issue , as some believe that less timing will produce more torque--Some will say that there isn't a whole lot to gain with timing anyway--My opinion would be to add some ---somewhere in the numbers I mentioned above
