I would work on logs and histograms first but try to work in setting up black box logging and using that. Sure is nice not having the laptop in there with you when you're logging cruise regions.

    Hey Jeff,

Looking back at your files, it appears that your PCM may have come here WITH a Hypertech calibration on it... If that's the case, I will build up an OEM file for your car and send it along. It's nice to always have that to reference against.

I think you are right. At that time, I uploaded the Hypertech tune to the car so that my stock tune would be saved on that. Thanks Steve!

While surfing the HP Tuners forum, I saw a notice that Greg Banish is hosting his basic tuning class in Schenectady, NY. This is just a few hours northeast of me up by Albany. After thinking it over, I sent in a registration request -- may as well learn as much as I can. Anyone else interested?

You paying for my flight and class? If so, count me in.

Also, I will be needing a place to sleep.

    Thanks Jeff

I actually believe you too! No way I would let you pay for it I think you should attend if you can swing it, I hear great things about the classes.

Waiting for him to send his PayPal account info so that I can submit the registration fee. Like you said, looks to be well worth it. It'd be cool to have someone else from on here at the class.

Day or two before would be fine. Probably drive up Friday night rather than first thing in the a.m. on Saturday. I think I'll need my brain fully functional for this stuff.

The course? Registration fee was $550 for the two day seminar. Will have to get a hotel as I do not know anyone I can crash with up that way.

Finally loaded HP Tuners onto my desktop as well so I can play around a bit and look at files that have been uploaded on the HP Tuners forum. Had a bit of a struggle as I kept getting a .NET Framework 2.0 error. Found a thread over there with a download in it to circumvent this issue and all is ok. Right now I am reading through the HELP files. It just blows me away what this software is capable of.

LC1 is a wideband O2 sensor setup with a controller built into the wire harness. With the LC1, you can read the air/fuel ratio of the exhaust so you can make tuning adjustments to the engine.
Compared to the LM1, the LC1 is a more perminently installed setup that is hardwired into the car. The LM1 is more portable from car to car to moped to lawnmower or whatever you wanna check A/F ratio on.
